Who is Nathan S-T?

Personal Background:

Hello, I'm Nathan. I'm a cyber security professional from SE Michigan.

My decision to follow the information assurance/security path is rooted in the ever-growing threats faced by organizations especially as the world moves toward cloud/centralized computing. I hope to become part of a team to combat the abuse and theft of sensitive information around the globe.

I have a strong interest in open-source/free software and operating systems on both a personal and professional level.

Education:

• Technical school - Mobile and Web application development (2011-2012)
• High School Diploma (2013)
• Completed General Studies @ College (2015)
• Information Assurance and Cyber Defense B.S. (2015-2018)

Skills:

• Web design experience with CSS and HTML and some JavaScript
• Experience with PHP and SQL and some database administration
• Familiar with C languages (C, C++, C#)
• Experience with hardware by building several systems
• A/V tech experience - Multi-channel sound boards/mixing for stage productions

Work Experience:

• 2 years working in retail
• 2 years as a valet (summer college job)
• Five years in tech support working with networking and compliance products.
• Several years volunteer experience with non-profits
